Introduction
This one-day workshop is designed for those who negotiate relatively low-value deals or those who are starting their careers in commercial negotiation and are seeking a brief introduction to the subject. It provides a basic structure for preparation and for conducting negotiations, as well as touching on some of the more important aspects of behaviour that lead to successful outcomes.
Objectives
This module is intended to be of practical application. Following the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Recognise the different phases of negotiation and understand what we are trying to achieve during each phase
- Have a robust methodology to work to in future negotiations
- Understand what good preparation entails
- Communicate effectively in the context of negotiation
- Bargain successfully
Delivery
This is a one-day workshop. Trainer instruction is combined with syndicate work and 2 negotiation exercises.
No 'Introduction to Negotiation' open courses are planned for Summer 2010. However, if you have a group of more than 3 people who wish to take this workshop, please contact us and we will happily organise it for you.
